PRODUCTION
It produces
classics like KING LEAR , SHAKUNTALA to contemporary plays
both serious like
HAZAR CHURASI KI
MAA and comedy like CHHOO MANTAR etc. It produces not only
original Indian plays but also adaptations / translations.
Original Indin play include SAKHARAM
BINDER, EVAM
INDRAJIT, CHARSAW KAROR BHULAKKAR etc while translations
adaptations are KANJOOS KA PYAR, MR. BIDDERMAN AUR AAG
LAGANEWALE GALI.
CHAHATWALI,
KAUWA CHALA HANS KI CHAL, JOHN GABRIEL BORKMAN KHAMOSH ADALAT
JAARI HAI, MID SUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM etc scoring more than 50
plays.
Work under
Guest Directors
From time to
time brought some renowned guest directors designers from
other part of India and other countries as well. Ranjit Kapoor,
Satyadev Dubey, Anmol Vallan, Govind Deshpandey, Nikhilesh
Sharma and Jayanta Kripalani came from different part of India
while foreign directors like Fritz Bennewitz (Germany), Rodney
Marrio (USA), Vincenzo Cozzy (Itali) work with Padatik for
RAJA LEAR, BAARISHWALA and SHEHJADI TURANDOT respectively.
Very recently Padatik organized workshopconducted by the well
known director Jayanta Kripalani, A play “Hidden Fires” came
out from the workshop depicting riots.
Summer
Wrokshop
For the last
three years Padatik has been organizing summer workshop
involving children in a variety of fun-filled activities which
help them to develop their career The workshop includes the
subjects like “Maths Made Easy” , “ Children’s Theatre “ “arts
Excel” etc.
Acting
Training
From time to
time Padatik conducted acting training classes. Though reputed
a Hindi theatre group yet Padatik has produced a number of
Bengali plays as acting class productions like SANDHAN,
ANTIGONE, E-KI-KHEL, NATUN BRISTE SAMAHATA by some young
directors.
Many of our
acting training class students have got chance in TV and else
where
Regular shows
Padatik gives
public shows of its new and old productions throughout the
year it own theatre and other public auditoriums apart from
‘call shows’.
