What left a lasting impression on the mind and stoodout  for originally was “Shamanantar  “ presented by the Padatik Dance Centre of Calcutta. Chetna Jalan’s choreography with inputs by Madhumita Roy, had a take off point provided by the exhilarating music composed and conducted by Pt. Shankar Ghosh.

Chetna use of the eleven matras paran unfolded itself beautifully as did her lalitpada posture where the foot is lifted in the basic Nataraj posture..Kathak was presented in all its blossoming technique. The permulations in uthan, the tehais and tukras were done with accuracy.
