About Us
Padatik
Cultural Centre is a charitable trust under which presently 3

Padatik aspires to work towards
achieving the following in the field of the performing arts,
mainly theatre and dance:

To train
serious artistes to the highest degree of excellence, not
neglecting those who want to be trained for imbibing aesthetic sensibility but without any ambition to become
outstanding artists or professionals.

To constantly improvise and
innovate.

To constantly experiment and
bring about changes to adopt to the changing times and popular
tastes without transgressing the basic aesthetic sensibilities of the
traditional forms of Indian art and culture.

To make
people generally more aware and receptive to Indian performing
arts, particularly serious theatre and traditional and contemporary dance forms by making innovations
in the style of presentations and/or otherwise.
PADATIK
GROUP
Our own Lights and Sound
Padatik group
has its own lights and sound equipment facilities. It provides
light and sound (all imported) not only for our own shows but
also for other major/important shows held elsewhere.
Our own auditorium
-
Padatik group
has its two sophisticated well equipped air conditioned
auditoria as Padatik Little Theatre – I (PLT-I) and Padatik
Little Theatre –II ( PLT-II).

Regular
Theatre and dance shows are held in these cosy auditoria with
the sitting capacity of 50 people in PLT-I and 70 to 100 in
PLT- II.

We have also
a Roof
Top
Garden space , fit for events.
Library
We maintain a
library where audio and video of theatre and dance are
available . We also keep books on theatre and dance. Though it
is not permitted to take the books home yet the Xerox of
certain pages is allowed on payment on cost.
Recording studio
We have our
own recording studio where dance/music/dubbing/editing can be
done.
